The post HMV world

This morning, instead of blowing a wad of money on new releases, I patiently watched Deezer downloading several new recordings into my iPhone. First up I am Kloot – Let it all in. Despite the reviews, much better than Sky at Night (8/10 music, 1/5 loudnes). Matthew E Smith’s album reminds me of Lambchop’s Nixon – I’m thinking album of the year already. (9/10 music, 2/5 loudness).  Then there is Lord Huron – Lonesome Dreams: more rustic Fleet Foxes meets the Band (6/10 music – but growing, 2/6 loudness).
I am looking forward to 2 other albums this week: Aaron Neville and Arboretum.
